My Rating: 5 stars

Synopsis:

Sally Grissom is a top Secret Service agent in charge of the Presidential Protection team.  She knows that something is wrong when she is called to a private meeting with the President and the Chief of Staff without any witnesses.  She couldn't have predicted that she would be forced to take on an investigation of the mysterious disappearance of the First Lady.  But she has strict orders to keep it a secret.  Then a ransom note, along with the First Lady's finger, is sent to the White House.

My Thoughts:

This book was absolutely one of the best books that I have read by James Patterson.  The book really flowed and it was constantly moving along with the action, and with the plot.  The plot was very well written and thought out.  I felt like I was a part of Sally's team searching for the First Lady and wondering why she went missing.  I have to say that the twists and turns in the book was very riveting. This review is my opinion and many thanks to Grand Central Publishing for publishing this book.

Genre: Crime, Mystery, Thriller

My Rating: 5 Stars

Synopsis:

President Jonathan Lincoln Duncan is rehearsing his testimony for a House of Representatives select committee.  It has been discovered that the president made a phone call to Suliman Cindoruk, leader of a cyberterrorist group call Sons of Jihad, and he is accused of negotiating with the terrorist.  Also it is discovered that the president ordered an attack to stop some Ukrainian operatives in Algeria, who were attempting to kill Suliman.  During the attack, an American CIA operative was killed and Suliman escaped.  The president has been advised against testifying at the hearing, saying that it will only lead to his impeachment.

My Thoughts:

When I first started reading this book, I had to put it aside, because it didn't seem like it was going to go anywhere.  Then a month ago, I decided to pick it back up, and I have to say, even though it starts out slow, and the build up take a little while, but the book has far exceeded my expectations,  The plot was amazing and well written.  It keeps you on your toes, as we follow along while the president works to stop an attack on the country. There were a lot of twists and turns in the plot and it kept you wondering what was going to happen next.
